What we see

Why MG Motor filters reach the bench

The Hector and Hector Plus diesels and the larger Gloster share one line on the card. Most are private cars, and most of what we see is the urban short-trip pattern: the filter loads with soot that never gets burnt off, the warning light comes on, and the car loses power before the owner connects the two.

The Gloster is the one to watch on mileage. It is a heavy vehicle and a long-distance one, and a high-mileage Gloster filter is usually ash-loaded rather than soot-loaded. Both clean, but the second needs a bench, not a forced regeneration.

Included in ₹8,500

  • Filter indexed, weighed and photographed on arrival
  • Pre-clean flow and back pressure baseline recorded
  • Multi-stage thermal and pneumatic cleaning cycle
  • Ash removed from the full channel depth, not just the face
  • Post-clean flow test with a printed before/after comparison
  • Returned with the before and after readings, ready for your workshop to refit

Priced separately

  • Removal and refitting, by your own workshop
  • Courier to and from Nashik, and GST
  • Full diagnostic assessment: ₹1,500
  • Sensor testing & calibration: ₹2,200
Getting the filter to us

You do not bring the MG to Nashik

We clean filters, not vehicles. Your workshop removes the DPF, you send it or bring it, and it goes back with the readings for them to refit. The workshop is in Nashik; filters come in by courier from across Maharashtra.

Questions

MG Motor owners ask

₹8,500 per filter before GST, for every MG Motor model on our rate card (Hector, Hector Plus, Gloster, Majestor). That is the rate-card price, not an estimate, and it includes the flow-bench measurement before and after cleaning and the written readings.

No. We clean the filter, not the vehicle. Any competent workshop can remove the DPF from a MG Motor, and you send or bring us the filter alone. Outside Nashik, courier is how most filters reach us. It comes back cleaned, with the before and after readings, for your workshop to refit.

By a wide margin. A replacement after-treatment unit costs many times the cleaning price, and replacement is only necessary when the substrate is physically cracked, melted or collapsed, which is a small minority of the filters we see. The bench reading before cleaning tells you which case yours is, before you pay for anything.

A replacement DPF is a dealer part and the price depends on the exact model, but for a suv / muv it commonly runs around ₹80,000 to ₹1,80,000. Cleaning the existing filter is ₹8,500, and it is the right answer whenever the substrate is intact, which the flow reading on arrival shows before you pay for anything. Replacement is only needed when the ceramic is cracked, melted or collapsed.

4 to 8 hours on the bench, and most filters are returned the same day they arrive. Courier time is additional.
