Why Honda filters reach the bench
Honda no longer sells diesel cars in India, so every i-DTEC filter that reaches us is on a car that is several years old. Those cars have usually done a lot of city miles, and the filter has had years to load. The rate-card price for a Honda is the lowest on the card, because the filter is small and the job is quick.
The practical point for an owner is that a replacement filter for a discontinued diesel is both expensive and slow to source. Cleaning keeps the car on the road for the price of a service.

No. We clean the filter, not the vehicle. Any competent workshop can remove the DPF from a Honda, and you send or bring us the filter alone. Outside Nashik, courier is how most filters reach us. It comes back cleaned, with the before and after readings, for your workshop to refit.
By a wide margin. A replacement after-treatment unit costs many times the cleaning price, and replacement is only necessary when the substrate is physically cracked, melted or collapsed, which is a small minority of the filters we see. The bench reading before cleaning tells you which case yours is, before you pay for anything.
A replacement DPF is a dealer part and the price depends on the exact model, but for a car / sedan / hatchback it commonly runs around ₹80,000 to ₹1,80,000. Cleaning the existing filter is ₹6,500, and it is the right answer whenever the substrate is intact, which the flow reading on arrival shows before you pay for anything. Replacement is only needed when the ceramic is cracked, melted or collapsed.
