Why Manmad vehicles block filters
Manmad is a freight junction, and freight vehicles waiting to load are the clearest example of a duty cycle that destroys filters without covering distance. A truck can sit for hours with the engine running to keep the cab liveable, producing soot the entire time at an exhaust temperature far too low to burn any of it. The driver then does a long highway run that would have cleared the filter, except that it started that run already loaded. Repeat this weekly and the filter blocks on a vehicle whose highway mileage suggests it should be perfectly healthy.

Two hours out, so sending the filter alone is usually the sensible route: it is removed there, brought or couriered in, and goes back cleaned with the measurements. That keeps the vehicle earning instead of parked at a workshop 100 km away.
