Why Malegaon vehicles block filters
Malegaon works its light commercials in dense, slow, stop-start traffic, which is close to the worst road cycle for a diesel filter: constant load changes, low average speed, and exhaust temperatures that almost never sustain the range regeneration needs. Alongside that, the town runs a large population of standby and continuous generator sets. Static diesels have no road speed at all to help them, so their filters load purely on engine hours and are very often serviced too late, because nobody is watching an odometer that never moves.
