What public transport filters look like when they reach us
City buses run the textbook worst cycle: stop-start at low speed all day, with a regeneration that starts at one stand and is interrupted at the next. Intercity coaches are the opposite, long steady runs and ash at high mileage. School and staff transport sits in between with fixed routes and a lot of idling. Each needs a different interval, and the readings set it.
Depot collection on the roster is how this works in practice: filters removed from vehicles off-shift, couriered together, cleaned and measured, and returned with a reading per vehicle for the compliance file.

Buses are priced on the truck and bus lines of the rate card, ₹7,500 to ₹10,000 per filter before GST by make, with fleet rates from three filters.
Each filter comes back with its before and after flow and back-pressure readings in writing, which goes in the vehicle's file.
More often than the book interval. The readings from the first batch set the interval for the next, and a bus that loads early is usually telling you about an injector or EGR fault.
