What power generation filters look like when they reach us
Standby generators are the worst case for a particulate filter: they run rarely, at partial load, and never for long enough to regenerate. When the set is finally needed, an emission fault can derate it at the moment the building depends on it. The filter that reaches us from a standby set is usually lightly used in hours and badly loaded in soot.
The practical arrangement is to align the filter check with the statutory load-bank test, so the set's capability and its filter are verified together. Genset filters are quoted after assessment, as one of the four categories the rate card does not price.

What power generation filters cost to clean
This sector is one the rate card prices after assessment: the figure below is indicative, and the bench measurement confirms it before any work.

Quoted after assessment, from an indicative ₹16,000 per filter before GST. The before reading confirms the figure.
Remove it during the scheduled load-bank window and courier it; most filters are back within days. For a critical site, a spare unit held on site covers the gap.
Partial load and short runs never reach regeneration temperature, so every test run adds soot that nothing removes. The hours are low; the loading is not.
